Steven Hirsch has extensive experience facilitating groups to harness the collective knowledge of its members to ensure achievement of the group’s objectives. These are skills that he refined during his previous career as a nonprofit executive working with people with a variety of backgrounds, skill sets, and knowledge bases. His experience with groups and deep understanding of group dynamics allows him to work with various subject matter experts on a wide range of projects, such as job task analysis and passing standard setting across multiple industries.
He takes pride in his ability to break down information into easily understandable tasks and next steps. Steven is an engaging speaker who has facilitated multiple in-person and remote trainings and workshops. He maintains membership of the Society for Industrial Organization Psychologists.
At Scantron, Steven’s responsibilities include developing certification and licensure exams that identify assessment factors and benchmarks for certification. He has extensive experience in job task analysis, role delineation, equating, survey development, qualitative research methodology, statistical analysis, development of performance exams, nonprofit board administration, and has worked with standards from several accrediting bodies (ex: NCCA, ANSI/ISO, ABSNC).
He has consulted with clients from multiple industries such as healthcare, finance, renewable energy, industrial engineering, arboriculture, and human resources. Steven is an expert problem solver with a knack for developing creative, effective solutions.

- PhD in Industrial Organizational Psychology from Central Michigan University
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in East Asian Studies from Boston University
