Mary Fluharty is a seasoned education and EdTech leader with more than 30 years of experience spanning K–12 education, higher education, product management, sales strategy, curriculum development, and professional learning. Currently serving as Vice President of Strategic Sales & Marketing at Scantron, Mary leads global sales and marketing initiatives, driving growth across education, corporate, and government markets while aligning product strategy with evolving customer needs.
Throughout her career, Mary has built a reputation for connecting innovative technology solutions with meaningful educational outcomes. She has held senior leadership roles at Scantron, StrongMind, Pearson Virtual Schools, ACT, and K12, Inc., leading product strategy, sales enablement, professional learning, and organizational growth initiatives. Her expertise spans product management, go-to-market strategy, accessibility, online and blended learning, legislative and policy navigation, and customer success.
A recognized leader in educational innovation, Mary has successfully expanded online learning programs, developed high-performing teams, increased RFP win rates, launched scalable training and support platforms, and championed accessible and inclusive learning environments. Her work has consistently focused on helping educators, institutions, and organizations leverage technology to improve engagement, achievement, and operational effectiveness.
Mary holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Pittsburgh, a Graduate Certification in Education Administration from Johns Hopkins University, and certifications in SAFe Product Management and Pragmatic Marketing.
