The Challenge
For years, the university relied on printed forms to collect course evaluations. Making changes to forms was a labor-intensive process, requiring programming to adjust data transfer each time a department changed a question.
What We Did
Implemented Class Climate's online and desktop tools, enabling departments to define a core set of questions. Distributed evaluations through a Blackboard connector right on the student's home page.
[Distributing via] Blackboard and email provides more opportunities for students to participate and provide valuable feedback for the instructors.
The results
The streamlined process eliminated heavy programming needs, provided robust reporting, and maintained a strong average response rate of approximately 65%.
