Migrating from ScanTools II Link SDK Programs

The list below provides the general steps you need to follow to migrate a program that was developed using ScanTools II Link SDK. The specifics of how you implement these changes depend on your programming environment.

  1. Remove references to STIILink 1.0 Type Library
  2. Add a reference to ScanTools Plus Link 6.0 Type Library. For Visual Studio .NET project, add a reference to ScanToolsPlusLink. Use the Add Reference, .NET tab, Component Name = ScanToolsPlusLink.
  3. Change all instances of STIILINKLib to ScanToolsPlusLink

After making these changes, you can build your program. You may receive some errors based on these known differences between ScanTools II Link and ScanTools Plus Link:

ScanningManager
SessionInfo
OmrBuffer
New Events
ScanTools Plus Application Definition
Date Fields and Data Services
