Lookup

Check here to have the recognized text compared against the contents of a dictionary specified in the Dictionary Name field. When this is checked, you can select a dictionary Name, below.

NOTE:A PDF version of the dictionary appears on the installation CD and can be viewed, but not modified.

Having access to the contents of the dictionary allows the application developer to verify whether or not expected text is present in the dictionary, thus enabling them to make an informed decision on whether or not to use the Lookup option. If the Lookup option is enabled, the Closest Match mode is most useful when the allowed words in a zone are known by the dictionary.

Name

Select the name of the dictionary to be used for the lookup. This is available only if Lookup is enabled.

Lookup Modes

Select which method to use for lookup. This is available only if you selected Lookup. Possible values are:
