SurveyTracker's Image Clip add-on component is a unique alternative to hand-entered, write-in survey responses. It eliminates the costly manual entry of write-in data.
The beauty of scannable forms is rapid data entry. However, write-in comments are not usually scannable and must be hand entered, introducing delays and the potential for error. Write-in comments often contain critical information that you need in order to generate reports and create future action plans.
The Image Clip Add-On Component works with non-Plus versions of SurveyTracker (SurveyTracker E-Mail/Web and SurveyTracker Classic). SurveyTracker Plus products automatically include the ability to scan forms with image clips.
To prevent delays and data entry error, SurveyTracker offers the Image Clip add-on component. The component works in conjunction with our ScanTools® Plus software and scanners to provide a reliable write-in response collection system. Using these tools, you can collect write-in responses rapidly and in the exact format entered by the respondents. The system saves you considerable time and money otherwise spent on manual data entry.
The Image Clip add-on component allows you to:
When a scan form is designed in ScanTools Plus, you designate areas of the form as write-in areas. Image ScanTools, the scanner, and SurveyTracker's custom image clip component do the rest. Once scanned, the write-in responses are stored as image clips and imported into SurveyTracker during data collection.
SurveyTracker's Image Clip Report displays the replies exactly as the respondent wrote them. The report automatically organizes the various write-in comments into a grid format for easier readability. The ability to specify the number of comments per grid row is also provided. You can also set up filters to display either a single image clip or a set of image clips that reinforce or describe your survey results.
In addition, image clips can be used in standard reports. You can easily create a report containing the image clip responses in a Write-In Table and the standard multiple-choice response data in a Quick Table or Advanced Multi-Analysis Table. In addition, you can code the image clip responses using the Code Book so you can generate statistical reports based on this subjective data.
In addition to developing reports in SurveyTracker, you may also want to use image clips as an archival tool. After you have scanned the images and created a report containing all of the image clips responses, you no longer need to store the original forms. Instead, you will have a storyboard of comments stored electronically.
