Scantron^® Named "Best of the Best" in Best Workplace in the Americas 2006 Competition

IRVINE, Calif. (Jan 09, 2007) - Scantron, a leading provider of assessment software and survey solutions for the K-12, higher education, and commercial markets, has received the Best of the Best 2006 award in the Best Workplace in the Americas competition from the Printing Industries of America/Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (PIA/GATF). Scantron has won a Best Workplace award for all six years the program has been in place and has received the Best of the Best distinction for the past four years.

The Best of the Best designation is given to companies who meet or exceed human resources standards for the graphic arts industry and is awarded to companies that rise to the top of the program's winners list by virtue of their high ratings. A panel of highly respected human resources professionals, with decades of experience in the graphic arts industry, reviews entry submissions for the awards. Winning companies are selected for actively demonstrating that they care about the work environment, employees' personal goals and ambitions as well as the needs of the company. Applicants are judged on eight criteria: Management Practices; Work Environment; Training and Development Opportunities; Financial Security; Workplace Health and Safety; Work- Life Balance; Recognition and Rewards; and Health and Wellness Programs.
