Senior Spanish Content Specialist

This position requires fluency in the area of Spanish as well as proficient knowledge in curriculum development, item writing, and standard alignment. The Senior Spanish Content Specialist should have a bachelor's degree or higher in the area of education or other related field The candidate should also hold a valid teaching certificate with a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience. The Senior Spanish Content Specialist will work primarily with Scantron's Performance Series, Achievement Series, and Skills Connection Online products.

Other responsibilities include:

• Proficiently using FoxPro, MS Word, Crystal Reports, Excel, PaintShop Pro, Corel and Graphmatica (or similar programs)
• Translating and editing assessment items for all products and subject areas according to the Royal Spanish Academy (RAE) guidelines
• Making statistical and editing changes without the guidance of a manager
• Oversee Spanish consultant pool including training, scheduling, and project planning
• Working closely with the development and product management teams to review, edit, and translate existing product instructions and screen layouts
• Understanding the database structure for all products and use each database accordingly.
• Helping with the testing of new releases and updates of all products
• Effectively communicating with other team members, managers, and other departments concerning job related issues
• Effectively multi-tasking and quickly adapting to workplace changes
• Remaining current on educational news surrounding testing, curriculum development, and content area issues
