Chief Executive Officer
Kevin Brueggeman is the Chief Executive Officer of Scantron. Scantron focuses on and invests in achievement and assessment solutions to meet the most critical customer needs with differentiated and best-of-breed products. Scantron helps education, commercial, and government organizations worldwide measure and improve effectiveness with assessment and survey solutions through its data collection business, including its popular scanners and forms.
He has more than two decades of testing and assessment experience, including 15 years in top executive roles in major education industry organizations. As President and CEO of Triumph Learning, he started its transformation from a print to a digital media education business. This was preceded by seven years with Pearson Education culminating in leading Pearson's new technology start-up business, Assessment for Learning, as its CEO. Kevin's first role with Pearson was as the President of Educational Assessment, its $100 million K-12 educational assessment business that was created from the merging of assets from Pearson and Harcourt Assessment. Prior to the Pearson merger, Kevin served as president of Harcourt Assessment’s Education Division.
Kevin's previous top executive roles were as President of AGS Publishing and President/CEO of Experior Assessments. Kevin holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse and while at National Computer Systems completed the Minnesota Executive Program at the University of Minnesota.
Senior Vice President of Assessment
Nikki Eatchel, Vice President of Assessment Services and Professional Services for Scantron has more than 18 years of experience in the assessment industry. She has spent the majority of her career focused in the areas of assessment development and psychometrics and has served in executive leadership positions for these areas in a number of assessment organizations. In her positions she has worked in various testing segments, including K12 educational assessment, certification and licensure, employment testing, and other academic assessment.
Her assessment responsibilities include blueprint development, item development, item bank design and management, assessment design, assessment development, professional development, test administration, scoring and reporting. She has been personally responsible for large-scale assessment development in state-wide assessments as well as within individual district assessments, working in some capacity with all 50 states within the U.S. Her work has taken her around the world for in-country assessment development work and ongoing client management. She has worked in the arena of employment litigation support, preparing testimony for teams representing both the prosecution and the defense.
Nikki served as the Chair of the Association of Test Publishers (ATP) Security Committee in 2011-2012 and Co-Chair of the Security Committee for 2013-2014. She is currently serving on the executive board for ATP. She has also served on a number of industry committees, including the Operational Best Practices Committee for ATP and has presented numerous papers at such conferences as ATP, E-ATP, the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO), and the International Personnel Management Association (IPMA).
Vice President of Solution Delivery
Shawn Hunter joined the Eagan Data Solutions business of Scantron in 1997 as a technology executive and returned to Scantron in August, 2013 after leading other technology organizations for 5 years. Shawn has a long career leading various technology organizations in a variety of applications and markets including 18 years in assessments, scanner hardware engineering, high-availability Software-as-a-Service platforms and IT infrastructure, factory automation, large-scale database synchronization systems, and defense systems.
In addition to Scantron, Shawn led organizations at Unisys (factory automation and large weapons systems program proposals), Apertus Technologies (database synchronization systems for the “Baby Bell” companies), Pearson (Education and Clinical Assessment software), and Schneider Electric (world-wide commodity trading and agriculture information systems). Always drawn to organizations undergoing transformation, Shawn specializes in leading organizations that are experiencing explosive growth or undergoing foundational technological change, such as moving from print to digital, moving to large-scale Software-as-a-Service platforms, etc.
Shawn holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas.
